Linde + Wiemann RSA is inviting applications from dynamic graduates for its one-year Graduate Development Programme in East London. This exciting opportunity is designed to transform graduates into high-performing professionals, equipping them with valuable skills and hands-on experience.

Available Graduate Opportunities

Linde + Wiemann RSA is looking for five (5) graduates to join the following departments:

• Plant (Industrial Engineering Graduate in Training)
• Quality (Quality Graduate in Training)
• Maintenance (Maintenance Graduate in Training – Assembly Plant)
• Manufacturing Engineering (x2 Manufacturing Graduates in Training)

Programme Duration

The Graduate Development Programme runs for one (1) year. Graduates will gain on-the-job training and exposure to real-world industry challenges at the East London Plant. Throughout the 12-month period, trainees will receive mentorship and coaching from experienced department managers.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, applicants must:

• Have completed a Degree or Diploma in a relevant field.
• Have 1-2 years of work experience in the relevant field (advantageous but not required).
• Be computer literate.
• Possess strong problem-solving skills.
• Have excellent communication skills at all organizational levels.

Detailed Position Requirements

1. PLANT DEPARTMENT – Industrial Engineer Graduate in Training

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist the Industrial Engineer and Plant Manager with daily tasks and responsibilities.

Requirements:

• National Diploma: Industrial Engineering.
• Experience: 1-2 years (preferably in an Automotive Environment).
• Skills: MS Word & Excel, AutoCAD & SolidWorks (advantageous).
• Design Passion: Proven design skills in a working environment.

2. QUALITY DEPARTMENT – Quality Graduate in Training

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct receiving inspections.
• Create quality alerts & G8D’s.
• Assist with scrap analysis meetings.
• Support quality audits and supplier performance reviews.

Requirements:

• National Diploma: Mechanical Engineering.
• Skills: Proficiency in MS Word & Excel.

3. MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING – Manufacturing Graduate in Training (x2)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide technical & administrative support to the department.

Requirements:

• Qualification: National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Skills: Proficiency in MS Word & Excel.

4. MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT – Maintenance Graduate in Training (Assembly Plant)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support planned and corrective maintenance of machinery and equipment.

Requirements:

• National Diploma: Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Skills: Use of workshop tools, electrical testers, and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Software: Proficiency in MS Office.

Working Conditions

Physical Demands:

• Frequent walking and standing.
• Use of hands for various tasks.
• Visual inspections.
• Lifting up to 15kgs occasionally.
• Working at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces.
• Forklift and boom lift operation may be required.

Work Environment:

• Exposure to chemicals, noise, dust, and temperature changes.
• Cramped workspaces may be involved.
