The East London Industrial Development Zone (ELIDZ) is offering an exciting opportunity for South African unemployed graduates to join its Internship Programme for 2024/2025. This programme aims to provide valuable work experience and skill development to help graduates kick-start their careers.

East London Industrial Development Zone (ELIDZ) Internship Programme 2024/2025

This 24-month internship is aimed at unemployed graduates, particularly those from the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality, and offers preference to top academic achievers and persons with disabilities.

1. Science and Technology Park: Laboratory
   Qualification: M+3 in Microbiology / Chemistry / Biotechnology / Food Technology
   Number of Interns: 4
2. Marketing & Corporate Communications
   Qualification: M+3 in Corporate Communications / Media Studies / Journalism / Public Relations
   Number of Interns: 1
3. Financial Management
   Qualification: M+3 in Accounting / Financial Accounting
   Number of Interns: 3
4. Business Analyst
   Qualification: M+3 in Economics / Economic Sciences
   Number of Interns: 1
5. Supply Chain Management
   Qualification: M+3 in Supply Chain Management / Logistics
   Number of Interns: 1
6. Science and Technology Park: Research
   Qualification: M+3 in Agricultural Economics / Economics
   Number of Interns: 1
7. Quality Management
   Qualification: M+3 in Quality Management / Quality Assurance / Process Engineering / Software Development
   Number of Interns: 1
8. Management Accounting
   Qualification: M+3 in Management Accounting / Management & Cost Accounting
   Number of Interns: 2
9. Maintenance and Facilities Administrator
   Qualification: M+3 in Office Management and Technology / Office Administration / Business Administration
   Number of Interns: 1
10. Electrical Engineering: Maintenance and Facilities
    Qualification: M+3 in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current)
    Number of Interns: 1
11. Information Communication and Technology
    Qualification: M+3 in Information Technology / Computer Science / Information Systems
    Number of Interns: 2

Eligibility Criteria:

• Academic Qualification: Applicants must hold the relevant qualifications.
• Citizenship: Open to South African citizens, with preference for residents of Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality.
• Disability: Preference given to persons with disabilities.
• Employment Status: Applicants must be unemployed, not engaged in full-time studies, and should not have prior relevant work experience or have participated in an internship before.
• Age Limit: Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old.
