Key Role and Responsibilities

As an Assistant Officer Procurement, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective procurement of goods and services. Your primary responsibilities will include:

✔ Executing sourcing and procurement processes efficiently while following Eskom’s policies and procedures.
✔ Purchasing goods and services and managing procurement administration to ensure timely and budgeted procurement.
✔ Adjudicating tenders and managing contracts and purchase orders within set standards.
✔ Identifying and mitigating procurement risks by consulting with supervisors and making strategic recommendations.
✔ Negotiating agreements with suppliers to meet customer expectations and operational needs.
✔ Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, customers, and suppliers.
✔ Analyzing procurement data and trends to improve sourcing strategies.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and experience criteria:

Education:

• National Diploma/National N Diploma in Transport, Commerce, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management at NQF Level 6 (with 240 Credits).

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in sourcing, procurement, or a related technical field.
