Key Role and Responsibilities

As an Assistant Officer Procurement, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective procurement of goods and services. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Executing sourcing and procurement processes efficiently while following Eskom’s policies and procedures.
Purchasing goods and services and managing procurement administration to ensure timely and budgeted procurement.
Adjudicating tenders and managing contracts and purchase orders within set standards.
Identifying and mitigating procurement risks by consulting with supervisors and making strategic recommendations.
Negotiating agreements with suppliers to meet customer expectations and operational needs.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, customers, and suppliers.
Analyzing procurement data and trends to improve sourcing strategies.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and experience criteria:

Education:

  • National Diploma/National N Diploma in Transport, Commerce, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management at NQF Level 6 (with 240 Credits).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in sourcing, procurement, or a related technical field.
