Haw & Inglis (H&I) Construction invites South African unemployed youth to apply for Diesel Mechanic Apprenticeship Programme 2023 / 2024

Position: Diesel Apprentice

Company: H&I Engineering, a privately owned engineering company specializing in Engineering, Construction, and Infrastructure Development.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be a Grade 12 student in 2023.
• Must be a South African citizen.
• Must have a minimum of 50% for pure/technical mathematics and physical science.
• Must be willing to take a ‘GAP YEAR’ in 2024.
• Must be willing to relocate within the borders of South Africa for the duration of 2024.
• Must intend to study towards a Trade Test Certificate in Diesel Mechanics.

Sponsorships: Sponsorships are awarded at the completion of the Gap Year Programme based on various factors, including overall site performance during the Gap Year and commitment to a 4-year Internship Contract. Final selections are made by an internal committee.

Skills and Competencies:

• Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and Ezoic.
• Good leadership skills.
• Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
