Applications for the John Thompson – A division of ACTOM (Pty) Ltd bursary programme are now open. If you are looking to pursue your academic dreams in the field of Engineering, Finance or IT, this is a great opportunity to do so.

The John Thompson Bursary provides support to South African citizens pursuing studies in Engineering, Finance, and Information Technology. To be eligible for this bursary, applicants must meet certain criteria and submit specific documentation.

Fields of Study:

• Engineering
• Finance
• Information Technology

Eligibility Requirements:

• South African citizenship.
• Matric qualification.
• Currently studying in one of the specified fields.
• Maintained a minimum overall average of 60% in your studies.
• Enrolled in a recognized and accredited South African tertiary institution.
• Demonstrated financial need.
• Preference given to students entering their final year of study.

How to Apply

Required Documents:

Submit clear copies of the following documents:

• Certified copy of your ID document (not older than 3 months).
• Most recent academic record on the institution’s letterhead.
• Breakdown of fees/financial requirements from your tertiary institution on the institution’s letterhead.
• Proof of your parents’ or guardians’ household income (latest payslips if employed/affidavit if unemployed).
• Certified copy of proof of address/residence (not older than 3 months).
