South African Breweries (SAB) invites South African unemployed youth to apply for Brewing Development Trainee Programme 2025.

The Brewing Development Trainee position is now open for applications at Polokwane Brewery. This is a full-time position and forms part of a 24-month structured technical training program aimed at graduates looking to develop their skills and gain experience in the brewing industry.

Key Purpose of the Role:

The Brewing Development Trainee program is designed to:

  • Develop technical and leadership skills for managing the beer-making process.
  • Provide experience and exposure to the company culture and principles.
  • Prepare individuals to take on responsibility in the brewing process after the completion of the program.

Key Outputs and Responsibilities:

As a Brewing Development Trainee, you will be expected to:

  • Develop effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Be self-managed, assertive, and have the ability to communicate across all business levels.
  • Demonstrate creativity and a broad-minded approach to problem-solving.
  • Have a dynamic personality and be an influential change agent within the business.
  • Be proactive, energetic, and willing to challenge the status quo.
  • Exhibit an “Owner Mindset” and excitement to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Cultivate a passion for beer and brewing.

Minimum Requirements:

To apply for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Matric Certificate or National Senior Certificate (NSC).
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent BTech.
