The Moore invites South African students to apply for Bursary Programme 2025.

Bursary Application Closing date is 31 January 2025.

The Moore Bursary Programme for the 2025 academic year is now open for applications. This opportunity is for South African students who wish to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Accounting at a SAICA-accredited university.

Key Details of the Moore Bursary:

• Number of Bursaries Available: 6
• Study Focus: Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Accounting, at a SAICA accredited University
• Post-graduation Opportunity: Bursary recipients will join Moore as Trainee Accountants and work towards qualifying as Chartered Accountants (SA). The position is a paid fixed-term contract.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be considered for the Moore Bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. South African Resident: You must be a South African citizen.
2. Matric Results: You must have completed Matric with excellent results.
3. BCom in Accounting: You must be studying or registered to study towards a BCom (SAICA-accredited qualification).
4. University Enrollment: You must be enrolled at a SAICA-accredited university in South Africa.
5. Academic Average: You must maintain an overall average of at least 60%.
6. Strong Personal Values: You should demonstrate strong ethical standards, such as honesty, integrity, and a good work ethic.
7. Self-Confident Achiever: You must show personal ambition and determination.
8. Financial Need: You should be unable to afford your studies due to financial constraints.
9. Leadership: Previous leadership experience is preferable, though not mandatory.

3. Submit the following compulsory documents:
   • Certified copy of your ID document.
   • Certified copy of your Matric certificate.
   • Full tertiary record or transcripts (on your university’s letterhead).
   • A motivational letter explaining why you deserve the bursary (see tips for writing a motivational letter).

Closing Date:

• The application deadline is 31 January 2025. Late applications will not be considered, so ensure you submit your application before the closing date.
